Data protection

Terms and conditions

Welcome to the website of my psychotherapeutic practice ReflectRoom. The following data protection declaration applies to the use of my website and the services offered on it, unless otherwise agreed in a specific contract. This data protection declaration informs you about the collection of personal data during your visit to this website. By using this website, you agree to this data protection declaration.

My psychotherapeutic practice attaches great importance to data protection. Due to its legal obligations (medical confidentiality in accordance with Art. 321 StGB, Data Protection Act and other federal and cantonal decrees), there is already a high level of legal protection. Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and requirements.

In principle, my practice offers its services only in Switzerland and is aimed only at persons resident in Switzerland.

Collection of general data and information

A series of general data and information are collected each time the website is accessed by a data subject or an automated system. This general data and information is stored in the server log files. The following can be recorded: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on our website , (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet Protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system and (8) other similar data and information that can be used to avert danger in the event of attacks on my IT infrastructure.
This data and information is needed to (1) display the contents of my website correctly, (2) optimise the contents of our website, (3) ensure the long-term functionality of our IT infrastructure and the technology of my website, and (4) provide the necessary information to law enforcement authorities in the event of a cyber attack. Furthermore, my practice can evaluate this data and information statistically and with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of its IT infrastructure. The data and information collected in this way is processed only for the purposes just mentioned and stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.

Links to other websites

This website may contain links to websites of other providers. My practice has no influence on these websites, their contents, offers or availability or the data protection declarations and provisions applicable there. It therefore declines any liability.
Cookies and other services.

My psychotherapeutic practice may use cookies on its website in order to provide the best possible service and specific information. Cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, a unique identifier of the cookie that assigns websites and servers to a specific internet browser. A particular internet browser can be recognised and identified by this unique cookie ID. The purpose of this recognition is to provide users of this website with an optimal user experience and to improve the website design.

Such information about the use of this website (including your IP address) may, for example in the case of Google Analytics, be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers abroad. Google uses this information, for example, to compile reports on visitors' website activity. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google and other cookie providers have their own privacy policies and terms. The use and processing of data stored by cookies from third-party companies such as Google is outside the scope of responsibility of the practice. It therefore declines any liability.

My practice can use other services from third-party providers to integrate their content and services, such as videos or articles, into the website. Such integration always requires that these third-party providers collect and process the IP address and other information of visitors to this website.

You can block the use of cookies in your browser settings, request a warning before a cookie is created or delete cookies afterwards. Please note that if you block or subsequently delete cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of this website or its display may be affected.

Social media / social networks

This website may contain buttons (‘social media plugins’) that establish contact with the servers of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). By clicking on one of these buttons, you consent to certain data, such as your IP address, website visit, etc., being transmitted to the respective social network operator. This data transfer occurs without the intervention of the practice. The data protection declarations and provisions of the respective social network apply.

Communication options

Due to legal requirements (‘imprint obligation’), my practice's website contains certain information that enables quick electronic contact and direct communication, which also includes a general e-mail address. If you contact me using the communication options offered on my website, your contact details and content will only be used to process and respond to your enquiry.

Please note: Access to information and services on this website is via the internet and thus an open network that is accessible to everyone. The transmission of your data via this website or via means of communication such as e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp is generally considered to be insecure. I therefore disclaim any liability.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, you have various rights with regard to your data. In particular, you have the right to information, correction and deletion (provided that the data no longer needs to be stored for legal reasons). As a rule, the exercise of such rights requires that you provide clear proof of your identity (e.g. by means of a copy of your ID card where your identity is otherwise not clear or cannot be verified). To assert your rights, please contact me. I am happy to provide you with further information in this regard.

Amendments

My practice may amend this data protection declaration at any time and without prior notice. The current version published on my website applies. Insofar as the data protection declaration is part of a contract with you, I will notify you of the amendment by email or other suitable means in the event of an update.
